Amy Kraushaar

Amy Kraushaar brings over 20 years of experience in advertising and marketing to the NEW & IMPROVED team. An expert in strategic marketing, brand development, and strategic planning, Amy cut her marketing teeth as an advertising account manager for Abelson-Taylor, J. Walter Thompson, and DDB. She later served as Principal of Strategic Marketing at Diamond Cluster International (a technology management firm); VP of Strategy for HannaHodge (an Internet consultancy); and Partner/Creative Business Strategist at Leo Burnett’s brand consulting firm, The Lab.

Trained in Synectics, Osborn-Parnes, DeBono, and Creative Problem Solving (CPS) facilitation methods, Amy is also an expert "ideation catalyst," having worked on consumer and business teams at market research firms Conway/Miliken and Wirthlin Worldwide. Some of her former ideation clients include Disney, Coca-Cola, Kellogg’s, Anheuser-Busch, Oscar Mayer, Glad, Motorola, McDonnell-Douglas, and AEGIS Insurance.

Amy holds a double B.A. in Journalism and Communications from University of Iowa and an M.S. in Integrated Advertising from Northwestern University. Amy is also a graduate of Chicago’s Players Workshop School for Improvisational Acting.

Amy splits her time between the US and Lisboa, Portugal and in her spare time studies Portuguese, collects mid-century modern antiques, shops for shoes, and people-watches.
